Terminology

Experimental is for the latest/edge releases that are available but not yet Supported or default. Use at your own risk. This encompasses all Alpha, Beta and Prerelease versions. Issues and improvement requests will be tracked and addressed based on frequency and severity.
Supported is known-good and actively supported by the organization. Supported versions are the default choice when creating a new configuration and represent the versions we have the highest confidence in. We recommend anyone experiencing issues upgrade/migrate to Supported versions if you are using an SDK version where a platform wasn’t fully supported. Issues and improvement requests will be tracked and addressed based on frequency and severity.
Limited indicates that the platform does not have full support from our team. While we will address security issues and critical bugs on the platform, the priority of implementing platform-specific fixes and improvements is low. We do still include the platform in our releases.
Deprecated means "do not use". This technology is scheduled to be removed as part of the deprecation schedule strategy. Deprecated also means that the Unity Editor team no longer supports the version as it has fallen out of Long Term Support (LTS). Contact us if that causes problems for your company, and we can negotiate to make that version available longer. Issues and improvement requests will not be tracked or addressed.
