Some Vivox platform SDKs are restricted to developers who have an active NDA with the platform provider. The following platforms have restricted SDKs:
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X|S
- Nintendo Switch and Switch 2
Gaining access to restricted SDKs is a two-part process:
- Confirm your NDA status through the relevant platform provider's developer portal.
- Submit a request through the Unity Dashboard.
After you submit your request, a Unity support agent cross-references the confirmation from the platform provider and grants access.
Step 1: Confirm your NDA status with the platform provider
Before you submit an SDK access request through the Unity Dashboard, complete the NDA confirmation process for each platform SDK you need.
PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5
- Sign in to the SIE DevNet website for your platform:
- PlayStation 4: https://ps4.siedev.net/tm/verify/vivox
- PlayStation 5: https://p.siedev.net/tm/verify/vivox
- Go to Development > Tools And Middleware.
- Select Tools & Middleware directory.
- Scroll down to Engine > Unity > Confirm Developer Status.
- Select Confirm status.
After you confirm your status, the system sends Unity an email that confirms your platform developer status.
Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
- Sign in to the Microsoft Developer website.
- Select Middleware Partner > Vivox.
- Confirm your details.
- Select Submit Request.
This sends an email to Unity that confirms your developer status.
Nintendo Switch and Switch 2
- Sign in to the Nintendo Developer Portal.
- Select Getting Started.
- In the left menu, expand Nintendo Switch > Middleware, then select Voice Chat.
- In the Vivox information box, select Learn More.
- Enter the following details:
- Name: Your name
- Email Address: The email address you use to log in to the Unity Dashboard
- Job Title: Your organization name on the Unity Dashboard
- Select Submit.
This sends an email to Unity that confirms your developer status.
Step 2: Request access through the Unity Dashboard
After you complete the platform provider verification steps, submit your access request through the Unity Dashboard. Repeat this process for each platform SDK you need.
To submit your access request, follow these steps:
- Sign in to the Unity Dashboard.
- Go to the Products page.
- Select the Vivox Voice and Text Chat product.
- From the Vivox Voice and Text Chat landing page, select Packages & SDKs.
- Select Request access for the NDA package.
After the request is received, a Unity support agent verifies the confirmation from your platform provider and grants access.
Add the NDA SDK to your Unity project
After Unity approves your request, the SDK package becomes available for download from the Packages & SDKs page in the Unity Dashboard.
To add the downloaded package to your project, follow these steps:
- In the Unity Editor, open the Package Manager: Window > Package Manager.
- Select +.
- Select Add package from tarball.
- Navigate to the downloaded NDA package and select it.
The NDA package now appears under Packages in your Unity project.
