Unity Ads Reporting dashboard

Use the Unity Ads Reporting dashboard to track and analyze your app's ad performance, and make informed decisions to maximize your Unity Ads earnings.

The Unity Ads Reporting dashboard provides an organization-level overview of your projects' ad revenue earnings. Use this report to track and analyze your monetization strategy and performance so you can maximize your earnings. To access this report in the Unity Ads Monetization dashboard, go to Reporting > Unity Ads Reporting dashboard. You can configure the report data in the following ways:

Set report parameters

Use the Viewing options menu to define your report settings. Refer to the following sections for details on how to configure your viewing options.

Select the date range

To specify the time period of your performance data, use the date range options by doing the following:
  1. Select the Date range (Calendar icon) from the Viewing options menu.
  2. Choose how you want to set the time period of the report:
    • Enter the date range in the two date fields.
    • Select the date range using the calendar.
    • Use the date range presets like Last 3 days.
  3. Select OK to save the date range.

Choose a chart type

Choose how to display your data using the chart type icons in the Viewing options menu. Choose from the following chart types:
  • Table
  • Line graph
  • Bar graph

Set data granularity

Choose the frequency of your data points with the Granularity dropdown (Clock icon) in the Viewing options menu. You can choose from the following granularity settings:
  • Hourly
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly
To view your total revenue data in a table, with no granularity setting, select Clear in the granularity dropdown.

Compare date ranges

Compare your monetization performance from two different time periods with the Compare toggle by doing the following:
  1. Toggle Compare in the Viewing options menu.
  2. Select Previous Period to select a comparison date range.
  3. Choose a time period from the available presets or enter your own dates on the calendar by selecting Custom date.
    • If you choose a custom date range, click Apply to keep your selection.

Choose key performance indicators

Use the Metrics sidebar to choose key performance indicators (KPIs) for analyzing your monetization performance. The Reporting dashboard supports the following metrics:

Metric

Description

Est. RevenueThe estimated revenue from ads.
RequestsThe total number of times your project makes an ad request to ad networks.
ImpressionsThe number of times an ad displays in your app.
eCPMEffective cost per mille: the average ad revenue your app generates for every 1,000 impressions.
Fill RateThe rate of available ads served divided by the number of ad requests.

Select report data types

Choose the kind of data you want to include in your report with the Dimensions sidebar. The Reporting dashboard supports the following dimensions:

Dimension

Description

ProjectApps you monetize with Unity Ads.
SDK VersionVersions of the Unity Ads SDK you use to monetize your apps.
Game ID / App IDPlatform-specific IDs for your apps in the dashboard.
CountryLocations of users who view ads in your apps.
PlatformSpecifies if your apps are published for iOS or Android devices.
Ad FormatSpecifies if an ad is a Rewarded, Interstitial, or Banner format.
Ad UnitSpecifies ad format and settings about your placements.
PlacementConfigurations that determine where and when ads display in your apps.
Placement TypeSpecifies if the app is published for iOS or Android devices.

Refine data

Refine the data from your selected dimensions using filters. To add filters to your report, do the following:
  1. Click the Add filters button in the menu bar.
  2. Select filters from the list or use the search bar to search for specific filters.
  3. Click Apply to keep your selections.
You can filter the data in your report the following ways:

Ad FormatInclude any combination of Rewarded, Interstitial, or Banner ads.
Ad UnitChoose specific Ad Units to review.
Placement TypeInclude either Bidding or Waterfall placements.
PlacementChoose specific placements to review.
SDK VersionChoose which SDK Versions to include.
Game ID / App IDChoose specific Game or App IDs to include.
