Server requirements
To set up the Unity Licensing Server, you need:
A persistent computer
The Unity Licensing Server must run on a persistent computer on your local network. If computer bindings change, the server license will become invalid.
A supported Windows or Linux platform. Platform support varies by server version:

Additional software requirements for Linux
The following table lists the minimum library requirements to run the Unity Licensing Server on Linux:

Client requirements
To set up the Unity Licensing Client, the client computer must have:
A supported operating system
The Unity Licensing Client supports:
- Windows: Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8 (64-bit versions)
- MacOS: macOS 10.12 or later
- Linux: Ubuntu 18.04 or later
Unity Editor version 2019.4 or later
These versions of the Editor include the Unity Licensing Client. The client is also included in the Unity Hub version 3.1 or later.
Unity Hub (recommended)
If you use the Unity Editor, the Unity Hub is recommended because it has strong license management features. For installation instructions, refer to the Unity Hub documentation. The Unity Hub isn't required if you use Unity in a headless state, such as a build server.
