Import users and manage seat assignments.

Licensing Server maintains its own user catalog, which you must populate before you can assign seats. You can create users manually in the dashboard or import them from a CSV file. It's recommended to follow the CSV import method described below.

Import users

To populate the Licensing Server user catalog with users from your organization:
  1. In Unity Dashboard, go to Administration > Members.
  2. Select Export CSV for the License Server. This downloads a file with user data.
  3. In the Licensing Server dashboard, go to User Management.
  4. Select Import from CSV and select the file you downloaded in the previous step.
  5. Check the Import status notification for any reported issues and verify that the users were imported successfully.
After the import completes, the users appear in the Licensing Server user catalog and become available for seat assignment. Import users regularly to ensure that new organization members can receive seats.
참고
This CSV file can contain users that already exist in the Licensing Server user catalog, for example, users imported previously. In these cases, the import status reports failures for existing users. This behavior is expected and doesn't require action. It doesn't duplicate or update existing users, but it still imports new users.
팁
Import users regularly or whenever you need to assign seats to users added after the last import into Licensing Server.
After you import users into Licensing Server, you can assign and unassign seats.

Assign seats to users

To assign license seats to users:
  1. In the Licensing Server dashboard, go to Server Licenses.
  2. Select Manage seats for the license type that you want to assign seats for.
  3. On the Server Licenses - Seat Management page, select Assign Seats.
  4. Select one or more users by using the checkbox next to each user, and then select Assign (n) Seats. The value of n reflects the number of selected users.
After you assign seats, the selected users can access features according to their assigned license type. Seat assignments take effect immediately.

Unassign seats from users

To remove license seats from users:
  1. In the Licensing Server dashboard, go to Server Licenses.
  2. Select Manage seats for the license type you want to unassign seats from.
  3. On the Server Licenses - Seat Management page, select the users that you want to unassign seats from by using the checkbox next to each user.
  4. Select Remove Seats.
After you unassign seats, the selected users lose access to features beyond the Asset Manager Viewer role. The seats become available for reassignment to other users.
