When you upload a creative pack to your campaign, the creative pack must undergo a human moderation process. The following article details how that moderation process works. All new creative packs undergo a human moderation process when their associated campaigns go live for the first time. Moderators ensure that creatives adhere to Unity's advertising content policies. They also age rate creatives according to app store publisher guidelines based upon sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content for an age category. Publishers can filter the ads displayed in their apps based on these ratings. Refer to Creative moderation checks for more information about how to ensure your creatives successfully pass moderation.
Moderation statuses
When you meet the prerequisites and upload your creative pack, the creatives enter the moderation queue. The dashboard displays one of the following statuses for each creative pack to indicate where your creatives are in the moderation process:Moderation status | Description | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | The Pending status means one of the following, depending on whether you've met the moderation prerequisites:
| If you don't deposit funds in your User Acquisition account, your creative packs can't enter the moderation queue and will always show the Pending status. |
| Rejected | Unity hasn't accepted your creative pack. | |
| Approved | Unity approved your creative pack and your campaign can begin exploration. |
Rejected creatives
The Rejected status means that Unity didn't approve your creative pack. Hover over the creative pack name to display information on why Unity rejected the creative pack. Review the following common reasons for creative pack rejection:- The creative content doesn't adhere to Unity's advertising content policies.
- The ad doesn't switch between portrait and landscape orientation correctly.
- The ad doesn't respect device lock actions. When a user locks a screen the sound must stop; when a user unlocks the screen, the sound must start.
- The creative doesn't respond to the physical mute button on iOS. Flipping this switch must activate and deactivate the sound.
Campaigns must contain at least one approved creative pack to go live. If your live campaign includes a mix of approved and pending creative packs, the pending ones automatically run when approved.
