Returns the size of the reserved space for managed memory.
Read time 1 minuteLast updated 17 days ago

Definition

public static long GetMonoHeapSizeLong()

Returns

Type

Description

longThe size of the managed heap.

Remarks

The size of the heap increases when the total allocated managed memory exceeds the currently reserved amount. The size of the reserved space for managed allocations also has an effect on how frequent the garbage collector runs, and how long it takes to make a garbage collection. The larger the heap, the longer it takes, but the less often it runs.
Note: This API is available even when the rest of Profiler class is not available (for example, in release builds).

Examples

using UnityEngine;using UnityEngine.Profiling;public class ExampleClass : MonoBehaviour{ void Update() { Debug.Log("Allocated managed memory heap size" + Profiler.GetMonoHeapSizeLong() + "Bytes"); }}
