Install Unity's plugin for Codex to access Unity's first-party tooling within your Codex environment.

Unity's plugin adds a set of Unity skills to Codex, so you can ask for Unity work in plain language instead of supplying the same context each time. Install the plugin, then verify that Codex loads the skills. For a description of the skills and how to prompt them, refer to About Unity's plugin.

Install the plugin in Codex

To install the Unity plugin within Codex:

Add the marketplace:


codex plugin marketplace add Unity-Technologies/unity-agent-plugin

Install the plugin:


codex plugin add unity@unity-agent-plugin

Verify the installation in Codex

Start a new Codex session, then verify that the plugin is active:

and the skills appear in the slash menu.
Run
```
codex plugin list
```
to confirm
```
unity
```
shows as installed and enabled.

Update the plugin in Codex

To update the plugin to the latest version:


codex plugin marketplace upgrade unity-agent-plugin

Remove the plugin from Codex

To remove the plugin:


codex plugin remove unity@unity-agent-plugin
