The Unity Studio Importer package lets you import a Unity Studio draft into the Unity Editor for further development outside of Unity Studio. Complete the required Unity environment and package setup steps before importing your Unity Studio drafts into the Unity Editor. For more information refer to Prepare your Unity environment for Unity Studio draft imports.

Import a Unity Studio draft

Use the Unity Studio Draft Import window (menu: Unity Studio > Draft Import), to import your Unity Studio drafts into the Unity Editor. To import your Unity Studio draft from this window:
  1. Select the draft you want to import. Its details appear in the panel on the right.
  2. Select Import to import the draft into the Unity Editor. The import might take a few minutes, depending on the size and complexity of the draft.
When the import is complete, an Import Report window appears with information about the import. You can close both the Import Report window and the Unity Studio Draft Import window once the process finishes.

Import another Unity Studio draft

To import another Unity Studio draft, reopen the Unity Studio Draft Import window, select the draft you want to import, and follow the import steps again. If you need to replace the current imported draft, select Import > Remove and Import.

Troubleshooting

Error: Incompatible Draft Version
:
During the import process, if you get an error that indicates that the draft uses an older format version, the draft might not be compatible with the current importer version. In that case, from Unity Studio:
  1. Open the draft.
  2. Re-save the draft.
  3. Try to import the draft again from the Unity Editor.
