Configure Unity Ads for Unity Mediation

Publishers can use Unity Mediation to load and display ads from Unity Ads through waterfall and bidding mediation.

Create a Unity Ads line item

To create a Unity Ads line item, complete the following steps:

Note: Creating a Unity Ads line item only requires that you set a name and an eCPM Target for the line item. Unlike creating third-party line items, an associated placement is not required for Unity Ads line items.
  1. On the Unity Monetization Dashboard, select the Waterfalls page, and then select the waterfall that you want to add a line item to.

  2. In the Sort by eCPM Target section, select Add Line Item.

  3. Select the Unity Ad Source, and then select Next.

  4. Enter a line item name.

We recommend that you use a similar naming convention to your waterfall.

  5. Set an eCPM target that reflects the estimated price expected from the Ad Source.

Note: The eCPM target is only for defining the order in which ad networks are called, and has no role in the acceptance or rejection of an ad due to a price point.
  6. Select Save.

Add Unity Ads as a bidding source

To add Unity Ads as a bidding source for the Unity Mediation platform, complete the following steps.

Note: After you add Unity Ads as a bidding source, you cannot disable the Unity Ads line item.
  1. On the Unity Monetization Dashboard, select the Waterfalls page, and then select the waterfall that you want to add a line item to.

  2. In the Bidding section, select Add Bidding Source.

  3. On the Select Bidding Source page, select Unity Ads, and then select Save.
