Configure Meta Audience Network for Unity Mediation

Publishers can use Unity Mediation to load and display ads from Meta Audience Network through bidding mediation.

Note: Meta Audience Network currently does not support traditional waterfall line items.

Meta Audience Network requirements

Meta Audience Network requires that you complete an annual data use checkup to ensure compliance with Meta Audience Network terms and policies. If this process is not completed, then Meta will disable access to their APIs for your app. For more information, see the Meta Audience Network documentation on the Data Use Checkup requirement.

Meta Audience Network has a required API function for iOS 14+. Regardless of mediation usage, Meta Audience Network requires its publishers (explicitly not mediation solutions) to call the setAdvertiserTrackingEnabled function. For more information, see the Meta Audience Network documentation on Advertising Tracking Enabled for Audience Network.

Meta Audience Network does not support Child-Directed apps at this time. For more information, see the Meta Audience Network documentation on COPPA best practices.

Configure your app for Meta bidding

Meta Audience Network only supports bidding and using bidding to fill ad requests for your placements. Accordingly, you need to ensure that your app is configured for Meta Audience Network bidding.

To find the specific Placement IDs of your platform apps and set your placements up for bidding with this ad network, complete the following steps.

  1. In the Meta for Business Monetization Manager, select Waterfall pricing > Waterfall pricing, find the property that you created for your app, and then select Manage waterfall pricing for the ad space of your respective platform.
