# Analytics User Roles

> Discover role-based permissions you can use to control team member access to specific features in Analytics.

Analytics uses a role-based access control system that provides granular control over which users have access to which features.
You can toggle these roles for each user at the **Organization level** and at the **project level**. Roles are inherited, so a user with a role at the **Organization level** has that role at the project level. > **Note:**
>
> ⚠ ***Note*:** If you are a user with the `User` role prior to **November 8th, 2023**, you should have automatically been assigned the `Analytics Manager` role to maintain the existing level of access held at that time. Any users with the `User` role whose account was created **after** this date only have read-only access to features, and must contact their organization Owner to grant them the add-on roles for features they require.
