You can use Unity Pipeline Automation to run UGS CLI commands as part of an automated pipeline.
Pre-built actions
When adding a step, select the UGS CLI app to access pre-built actions for common operations:
Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Promote | Promotes all content from the specified supported services and deploys them to a different environment. |
| Deploy | Deploys the folder or file specified to the chosen environment. |
| Fetch | Updates or creates local service configuration. |
| Script | Executes an arbitrary script for the UGS CLI. |
To see the full list of available actions, select the UGS CLI app in the step configuration dialog.
Custom scripts
For operations not covered by the pre-built actions, add a step using the Linux Shell app with the Run Custom Script action, then enter your UGS CLI commands in the built-in editor.
Example script:
#!/bin/bash# Setting environment variablesexport UGS_CLI_PROJECT_ID=your-project-idexport UGS_CLI_SERVICE_KEY_ID=your-service-key-idexport UGS_CLI_SERVICE_SECRET_KEY=your-service-secret-key# Download and install UGS CLIcurl -sLo ugs_installer https://ugscli.unity.com/v1 && shasum -c <<<"3bbc507d4776a20d5feb4958be2ab7d4edcea8eb ugs_installer" && bash ugs_installer# Run test commands on the CLIugs --versionugs config get project-idugs statusugs env listugs deploy <directory-with-service-configurations> -j
