注
This tool is only available in the Terrain Tools package.
The Noise mask applies a pseudo-random output to your brush: a combination of a noise type and a fractal type. Adding noise to a brush adds variety to your brush set without adding brushes. Noise is a good way to create a non-uniform, natural look for your terrain, which you can then refine with other tools.
You can use noise masks to:
  • Sculpt the terrain's height, with:
    • The Noise tool: Similar to the Raise or Lower Terrain tool, but with a built-in Noise mask.
    • A Noise mask on any other height sculpting tool.
  • Paint textures with a Noise mask.
  • Base Terrain tiles on the noise as a height map.
You can save multiple noise settings, or share them with other users.
ヒント
The Paint Details tool has its own noise definitions, which are available when you select the grass or detail mesh. Refer to Grass and other details. The Paint Trees tool has its own settings, which include some noise options. Refer to Add trees to the terrain.
