# Chat history query with blocked participants

> Learn how chat history behaves when blocked participants are present.

Messages from blocked participants are not included in the results of a chat history query.

Parameters in chat history requests:

* Max (Maximum page size): The number of messages to display per history request (default is 10).
* Last read: Displays a count of unread messages.
