# Create a CPI campaign

> Create a new Cost per Install (CPI) campaign in the Unity User Acquisition Dashboard.

Cost per Install (CPI) campaigns acquire new users for your app. Refer to the following instructions to create a new CPI campaign in the Unity User Acquisition Dashboard.

## Prerequisites

Before you create a new CPI campaign, you must first [Add an app](../../getting-started/add-an-app) to the dashboard.

## Create an Install campaign

In the User Acquisition Dashboard, use the following instructions to create a CPI campaign, depending on the dashboard location:

1. **Overview page**

   To create an Install campaign from the **Overview** page, do the following:

   1. Select **Create campaign** from the top of the page to open the campaign creation workflow.
   2. Select your app.
   3. Choose **Installs** as your campaign goal.
   4. In the **Installs-specific settings** section, choose your bidding method: Automated or Manual. Refer to the [Introduction to CPI bidding](../../bidding/cpi/intro-to-cpi-bidding) for information about these bidding methods.
   5. Name your campaign and select **Create**.
   6. To launch your campaign, configure the [Required campaign settings](../required-campaign-settings).

2. **Campaigns page**

   To create an Install campaign from the **Campaigns** page, do the following:

   1. Select **Create** from the top of the page to open the campaign creation workflow.
   2. Select your app.
   3. Choose **Installs** as your campaign goal.
   4. In the **Installs-specific settings** section, choose your bidding method: Automated or Manual. Refer to the [Introduction to CPI bidding](../../bidding/cpi/intro-to-cpi-bidding) for information about these bidding methods.
   5. Name your campaign and select **Create**.
   6. To launch your campaign, configure the [Required campaign settings](../required-campaign-settings).
