# Set up CPI bids

> Configure bids for your Cost per Install (CPI) campaign in the Unity User Acquisition Dashboard.

Use these instructions to set up Cost per Install (CPI) bids for your install campaign.

## Prerequisites

To enable CPI bidding for your Install campaign, ensure that you have funds in your [Organization budget](/user-acquisition/budgets/intro-to-budgets.md#organization-budget)

## Set up CPI bids

To set up CPI bids for your campaign, follow these instructions:

1. **Manual bids**

   > **Note:**
   >
   > To manually add, edit, and remove bids, you must select Manual as your bid strategy when setting up your campaign.

   To set up manual CPI bids for your campaign, do the following in the User Acquisition Dashboard:

   1. In your campaign settings, go to the **Countries & Bids** section and select **Add countries**.

   2. In the country menu, select the arrow next to each region to view the available countries.

   * You can also type a country in the search box to find specific countries.
   * Selecting the checkbox next to a region selects every country in that region.

   3. Select the checkbox next to all countries you want to target in your campaign and select **Apply**.

   4. For each country you added to your campaign, enter a **Bid** value. Refer to the [Introduction to CPI bidding](./intro-to-cpi-bidding) for information about bid values.

   5. Select **Save** to keep your bid settings.

2. **Automated bids**

   To set up automated CPI bids for your campaign, do the following in the User Acquisition Dashboard:

   1. In your campaign settings, go to the **Countries & Bids** section and select **Add countries**.

   2. In the country menu, select the arrow next to each region to view the available countries.

   * You can also type a country in the search box to find specific countries.
   * Selecting the checkbox next to a region selects every country in that region.

   3. Select the checkbox next to all countries you want to target in your campaign and select **Apply**.

   4. For each country you added to your campaign, enter a **Max bid** value. Refer to the [Introduction to CPI bidding](./intro-to-cpi-bidding) for information about Max bids.

   5. Select **Save** to keep your bid settings.
