# Camera reference

> Use the camera to capture and display the scene from a specific viewpoint.

You can view the camera's angle and framing in the [Camera Preview panel](/unity-studio/develop/ui-refs/camera-prev.md). You can't delete the camera, as it's required for your application to work.

## Camera properties

Select the camera in the **Scene** view or **Hierarchy** panel to adjust its properties in the **Inspector** panel:

| **Property** | **Description** |
| ------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Hide Skybox** | Hide or display the skybox. This might be a background image or the surrounding environment. |
| **Projection** | Select the projection type: **Perspective**: Objects appear smaller when farther away.**Isometric**: Objects stay the same size, regardless of distance. |
| **Field of View** | Adjust the camera's view angle. This setting is available only when **Projection** is **Perspective**. |
| **Size** | Adjust the size of the camera view. This setting is available only when **Projection** is **Isometric**. |
| **Render Distance** | Control how far from the camera objects are drawn. Increase to draw distant objects, decrease to hide distant objects. |
| **Align with View** | Set the camera's position and rotation to match your current **Scene** view. For more information, refer to [Match the Scene view](/unity-studio/develop/gameobjects/camera/camera-movement.md#match-the-scene-view). |

| **Movement Speed** | Adjust how fast the camera moves through the scene in Play mode. |
| **Rotation Speed** | Adjust how fast the camera rotates when you move. |
