# Azure Monitor integration

> Set alert rules

The Self-Hosted Deployment solution contains a few metric-based alert rules, for Azure Platform as a Service resources (PaaS).

Self-Hosted Deployment raises alerts if conditions in these rules are met. To view alerts in the Azure Portal, go to **Monitor** > **Alerts**.

By default, Azure doesn't send notifications or perform actions. You might want to add notifications or actions at the customer's discretion. For example, you might want to proceed as follows:

1. Create an action group with e-mail addresses
2. For all alert rules, notify this group and assign actions to it.
