Those policies change often and vary by region and developer program. The platforms' own pages are the authoritative source, and your compliance is your responsibility.

Apple and Google permit Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) selling, which includes webshops, link-outs, and alternative payments, in all regions of the world, with varying requirements for each region and platform. While compliance with Apple's and Google's developer terms is your responsibility as the app publisher, Unity IAP and the [webshop](/iap/webshop.md) include tools to help meet those requirements so you can successfully sell to players anywhere your games operate.

Four requirement areas govern D2C selling: where you can sell, platform fees, presentation, and transaction reporting. The specific requirements differ by region and platform.

[Introduction to platform compliance](/iap/platform-compliance/introduction.md): Understand where you can sell direct to consumers, how platform fees apply, what each platform requires you to present in-app, and which transactions you must report.
[Platform compliance requirements reference](/iap/platform-compliance/requirements-reference.md): Find the D2C selling, commission, presentation, and purchase options UI requirements that apply to each region on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
[Report transactions to Apple and Google](/iap/payment-providers/external-purchase-compliance.md): Use the Unity IAP SDK and order webhooks to gate external purchases, attach Apple and Google transaction tokens, and build the reports each platform requires.
