Create a cost per engagement (CPE) campaign in the Tapjoy User Acquisition dashboard to acquire new users and increase app engagement.
Read time 1 minuteLast updated 4 days ago

To attract more new players to your game and encourage greater app engagement, set up a cost per engagement (CPE) campaign in the Tapjoy User Acquisition dashboard. CPE campaigns motivate users to play your game and stay engaged by offering rewards for completing specific events in your app. To learn more about CPE campaigns, refer to Introduction to CPE campaigns. Refer to the following instructions to set up a CPE campaign that meets your goals.
Note
This article uses the terminology User Acquisition dashboard to refer to the Promote dashboard shown on the user interface (UI).

Prerequisites

To create a CPE campaign, ensure you meet the following requirements:

Create a CPE campaign

To create a CPE campaign, follow these steps:
  1. In the User Acquisition dashboard, select Add (+) Create Campaign.
  2. Enter the Campaign Name to help you easily identify your different campaigns.
    Tip
The recommended CPE campaign naming convention is [Game]-[Offer type]. For example, a multi rewards (MR) CPE campaign for Candy Crush Saga should be named Candy Crush Saga - MR CPE.
  3. Select the Android App to Promote.
    Note
To promote an iOS app in your CPE campaign, contact your account manager.
  4. Select the app Engagement identifier (ID).
  5. Select Save All.
Note
Enable Campaign is currently disabled. You can enable it after you add ad sets to the campaign and when the ad sets and campaign are approved.
After you save the CPE campaign’s field values, the campaign is created, and a window opens to add a first ad set. Closing this window doesn’t cancel the CPE campaign’s creation. You can view it in the User Acquisition dashboard campaign list. Next, add ad sets to your campaign.
