# requestedVisibleInsets

> Requests which insets should appear on screen when the application starts.

## Definition

* **Type:** Property
* **Namespace:** [UnityEditor](/engine/7000.0/script-reference/unityeditor.md)
* **Assembly:** UnityEditor.CoreModule

```csharp
public static AndroidWindowInsetsType requestedVisibleInsets { get; set; }
```

### Remarks

Use this property to control the visibility of system bars, such as the status and navigation bars, when your application launches.

**Note:** If the application window currently doesn't have control over the system bar visibility, such as in split-screen mode, the system applies the changes when the application gains control.

**Note:** The system controls the visibility of the caption bar, so [AndroidWindowInsetsType.CaptionBar](/engine/7000.0/script-reference/unityeditor/androidwindowinsetstype/captionbar.md) has no effect in this property. Use [PlayerSettings.Android.requestedOverlappingInsets](/engine/7000.0/script-reference/unityeditor/playersettings/android/requestedoverlappinginsets.md) to control whether your application window extends behind the caption bar.

The following code example demonstrates how to request both the status and navigation bars to be visible for the application.

### Examples

```csharp
using UnityEditor;
public class ApplyInsets
{
    public static void Setup()
    {
        // Request status and navigation bars to be visible for the application.
        PlayerSettings.Android.requestedVisibleInsets = AndroidWindowInsetsType.NavigationBars | AndroidWindowInsetsType.StatusBars;
    }
}
```
