# Temporal pixel synthesis

> Use temporal pixel synthesis to move anti-aliasing and upscaling out of your render pipeline and into the XR compositor on the device.

Temporal pixel synthesis (TPS) is an image-quality technique that lets the runtime apply temporal anti-aliasing and upscaling to rendered frames, by providing per-view motion vector, depth, and stencil data.
