# Using unmanaged collection types

> Use unmanaged collection types in Unity.

The `Unity.Collections` namespace provides unmanaged data structures that you can use in [jobs](/engine/7000.0/manual/scripting/programming-distribute-work-threads/job-system.md) and [Burst-compiled](/engine/7000.0/manual/programming-environment/script-compilation/burst.md) code.
