# NotifyComponentChanged(in BindingId)

> Notifies the data binding system that a field of an attached component changed, so a binding targeting that field (for example ${component:Tooltip}.text ) can publish the new value.

## Definition

* **Type:** Method
* **Namespace:** [UnityEngine.UIElements](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unityengine/uielements.md)
* **Assembly:** UnityEngine.UIElementsModule

## NotifyComponentChanged(BindingId)

```csharp
public void NotifyComponentChanged(in BindingId property)
```

### Parameters

**** (\[BindingId]\(/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unityengine/uielements/bindingid)):

### Remarks

Writing through `ref GetComponent<T>()` changes data in place and fires nothing on its own; call this afterwards to drive bindings. The `UITKSG029` analyzer flags misses.
