# TrTextContentWithIcon

> Gets the GUIContent from Unity built-in resources with the given information or creates a GUIContent for a GUI element. The text and the tooltip are localized and loaded with an icon. Typically, the icon from Assets/Editor Default Resources/Icons is fetched using the icon name. Only the name of the icon, without the.png extension is needed. If a message type is specified instead of an icon or an icon name, the GUIContent.image is the icon associated with that message type.

## Definition

* **Type:** Method
* **Namespace:** [UnityEditor](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unityeditor.md)
* **Assembly:** UnityEditor.CoreModule

## TrTextContentWithIcon(string, Texture)

Gets the [GUIContent](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unityengine/guicontent.md) from Unity built-in resources with the given information or creates a [GUIContent](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unityengine/guicontent.md) for a GUI element.

The text and the tooltip are localized and loaded with an icon.

Typically, the icon from `Assets/Editor Default Resources/Icons` is fetched using the icon name. Only the name of the icon, without the .png extension is needed.

If a message type is specified instead of an icon or an icon name, the [GUIContent.image](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unityengine/guicontent/image.md) is the icon associated with that message type.

```csharp
public static GUIContent TrTextContentWithIcon(string text, Texture icon)
```

### Parameters

**** (\[string]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.string)): The text associated with the [GUIContent.text](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unityengine/guicontent/text.md).**** (\[Texture]\(/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unityengine/texture)): The icon associated with the [GUIContent.image](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unityengine/guicontent/image.md).

### Returns

| Type                                                                    | Description |
| ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------- |
| [GUIContent](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unityengine/guicontent.md) |             |

### Remarks

Unity translates these with the Editor's own translations.

**Note**: On the CoreCLR scripting backend the group Unity picks is not reliable, because the JIT compiler can inline the caller and change which assembly Unity sees. Where the group matters, use the overload that takes a group name and pass one.
