# RenameAsset(string, string)

> Rename an asset file.

public static string RenameAsset(string pathName, string newName)
```

### Parameters

**** (\[string]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.string)): The path where the asset currently resides.**** (\[string]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.string)): The new name which should be given to the asset.

### Returns

### Remarks

All paths are relative to the project folder, for example: "Assets/MyTextures/hello.png".
