## Remarks

Apply this attribute to an [IMetadata](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unity/localization/imetadata.md) implementation. [MetadataAttribute.AllowedTypes](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unity/localization/metadataattribute/allowedtypes.md) limits the targets the editor offers the metadata on, [MetadataAttribute.MenuItem](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unity/localization/metadataattribute/menuitem.md) sets the menu label, and [MetadataAttribute.AllowMultiple](/engine/6000.7/script-reference/unity/localization/metadataattribute/allowmultiple.md) controls whether more than one item of the kind can be added to the same target.
