### Remarks

If [DetailPrototype.renderMode](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unityengine/detailprototype/rendermode.md) is [DetailRenderMode.Grass](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unityengine/detailrendermode/grass.md), you can set this value to either `true` or `false`. However, if [DetailPrototype.renderMode](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unityengine/detailprototype/rendermode.md) is [DetailRenderMode.GrassBillboard](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unityengine/detailrendermode/grassbillboard.md), you must set this value to `false`. And if [DetailPrototype.renderMode](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unityengine/detailprototype/rendermode.md) is [DetailRenderMode.VertexLit](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unityengine/detailrendermode/vertexlit.md), you must set this value to `true`. Otherwise, this detail prototype won't render.
