> **Deprecated.** Application.ExternalCall is deprecated. See [https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/webgl-interactingwithbrowserscripting.html](https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/webgl-interactingwithbrowserscripting.html) for alternatives.

```csharp
public static void ExternalCall(string functionName, params object[] args)
```

### Parameters

**** (\[string]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.string)): Name of the function to call.**** (\[Object\[]]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.object)): Array of arguments passed in the call.

### Remarks

ExternalCall calls `functionName` in the web page containing the WebGL player, passing the given arguments to it. Supported argument types are the primitive types (string, `int`, `float`, char) and arrays of such types. Any other objects are converted to `string` using `ToString` and passed as `string`s.

This functionality is now obsolete. See [Interacting with Browser scripting](/engine/6000.6/manual/platform-specific/webgl/develop/interactingwithbrowserscripting.md) for alternatives.
