# ShowNotification

## ShowNotification(GUIContent)

Show a notification message.

```csharp
public void ShowNotification(GUIContent notification)
```

### Parameters

**** (\[GUIContent]\(/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unityengine/guicontent)): The contents of the notification message.

### Remarks

Displays notification message on the window. Unlike message boxes or log messages notification will fade out automatically after some time. Call [EditorWindow.RemoveNotification()](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unityeditor/editorwindow/removenotification.md) to remove it immediately.

## ShowNotification(GUIContent, double)

Show a notification message.

public void ShowNotification(GUIContent notification, double fadeoutWait)
```

### Parameters

**** (\[GUIContent]\(/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unityengine/guicontent)): The contents of the notification message.**** (\[double]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.double)): The duration the notification is displayed. Measured in seconds.

### Remarks
