# WidthOverride

> The width override applied to the referenced wire.

## Definition

* **Type:** Property
* **Namespace:** [Unity.GraphToolkit.Editor.GraphVisualization](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unity/graphtoolkit/editor/graphvisualization.md)
* **Assembly:** UnityEditor

```csharp
public float WidthOverride { get; set; }
```

### Remarks

Setting the value to 0 removes the width override on the wire. Setting a new value overwrites any existing width override for that wire. Setting this property has no effect when the [WireReference](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unity/graphtoolkit/editor/graphvisualization/wirereference.md) has no associated [WireReference.Context](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unity/graphtoolkit/editor/graphvisualization/wirereference/context.md), such as when it is `default`. Throws ObjectDisposedException when you access this method after you call [Context.Dispose](/engine/6000.6/script-reference/unity/graphtoolkit/editor/graphvisualization/context/dispose.md) on the context.

Override the line width of a wire so it appears thicker than the default thickness in the graph canvas.

### Examples

```csharp
WireReference wire = context.GetWireReference(outputPortID, inputPortID);
wire.WidthOverride = 4f;
```
