## Definition

* **Type:** Property
* **Namespace:** [UnityEngine.Networking](/engine/6000.3/script-reference/unityengine/networking.md)
* **Assembly:** UnityEngine.UnityWebRequestModule

```csharp
public float downloadProgress { get; }
```

### Remarks

**Note:** This property only works if the server’s response contains a Content-Length header and the [UnityWebRequest](/engine/6000.3/script-reference/unityengine/networking/unitywebrequest.md) has a [DownloadHandler](/engine/6000.3/script-reference/unityengine/networking/downloadhandler.md) attached to the [UnityWebRequest.downloadHandler](/engine/6000.3/script-reference/unityengine/networking/unitywebrequest/downloadhandler.md) property.

If the [UnityWebRequest](/engine/6000.3/script-reference/unityengine/networking/unitywebrequest.md) is complete (either a success or a system error), this property will always return 1. If the [UnityWebRequest](/engine/6000.3/script-reference/unityengine/networking/unitywebrequest.md) is still communicating with the remote server, and [UnityWebRequest.downloadHandler](/engine/6000.3/script-reference/unityengine/networking/unitywebrequest/downloadhandler.md) is `null`, this property will return 0.5. If [UnityWebRequest.Send](/engine/6000.3/script-reference/unityengine/networking/unitywebrequest/send.md) has not yet been called, this property will return -1.
