> **Deprecated.** Application.ExternalCall is deprecated. See [https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/webgl-interactingwithbrowserscripting.html](https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/webgl-interactingwithbrowserscripting.html) for alternatives.

```csharp
public static void ExternalCall(string functionName, params object[] args)
```

### Parameters

**** (\[string]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.string)): Name of the function to call.**** (\[Object\[]]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.object)): Array of arguments passed in the call.

### Remarks

ExternalCall calls functionName in the web page containing the WebGL player, passing the given arguments to it. Supported argument types are the primitive types (string, int, float, char) and arrays of such types. Any other objects are converted to string using ToString and passed as `string`s.

This functionality is now obsolete. See [Interacting with Browser scripting](/engine/6000.0/manual/platform-specific/webgl/develop/interactingwithbrowserscripting.md) for alternatives.
