# ScaleSlider

## ScaleSlider(int, float, Vector3, Vector3, Quaternion, float, float)

Make a directional scale slider.

public static float ScaleSlider(int id, float scale, Vector3 position, Vector3 direction, Quaternion rotation, float size, float snap)

### Parameters

**** (\[int]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.int32)): The control ID of the handle.**** (\[float]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.single)): The value the user can modify.**** (\[Vector3]\(/engine/6000.0/script-reference/unityengine/vector3)): The position of the handle in the space of [Handles.matrix](/engine/6000.0/script-reference/unityeditor/handles/matrix.md).**** (\[Vector3]\(/engine/6000.0/script-reference/unityengine/vector3)): The direction of the handle in the space of [Handles.matrix](/engine/6000.0/script-reference/unityeditor/handles/matrix.md).**** (\[Quaternion]\(/engine/6000.0/script-reference/unityengine/quaternion)): The rotation of the handle in the space of [Handles.matrix](/engine/6000.0/script-reference/unityeditor/handles/matrix.md).**** (\[float]\(https\://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/api/system.single)): The size of the handle in the space of [Handles.matrix](/engine/6000.0/script-reference/unityeditor/handles/matrix.md). ### Returns

### Remarks

This method will draw a 3D-draggable handle on the screen that looks like one axis on Unity's built-in scale tool. The handle will stretch and will scale a single float up and down.

Add the following script to your Assets folder as ScaleSliderExample.cs and add the ScaleSliderExample component to an object in a Scene.

    public float scale { get { return m_Scale; } set { m_Scale = value; } }
    [SerializeField]
    private float m_Scale = 1f;
