# Package Manager preferences reference

> Reference for Package Manager preferences.

Use the Package Manager preferences to change the default cache location for the following packages:

* Packages installed from the Unity Registry
* Packages downloaded from the Asset Store

To open the preferences, go to **Edit > Preferences > Packag Manager** (macOS: **Unity > Settings > Package Manager**).

| ------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

| **My Assets** | Set the cache location that determines where packages downloaded from the Asset Store are stored. For more information, see [Customize the Asset Store cache location](/engine/6000.0/manual/packages-list/package-manager-caches/upm-config-cache-as.md). |
