# Rename a project

> If you want a project to have a different name

> **Note:**
>
> Only project owners, including organization owners, can rename a project.

To rename a project, complete these steps:

1. In Unity Dashboard, go to **Administration** > **Projects**.
2. Select the project.
3. On the **Settings** tab, select **Edit** next to the project name.
4. Enter the new name. The name must be unique within the organization.
5. Select **Save** or press **Enter**.

Asset Manager automatically reflects the new project name in the navigation pane.
