# Create a project

> Create a new project to organize your assets

In Unity Dashboard, you can create a project from the **Asset Manager** menu or from the **Administration** menu.

> **Note:**
>
> Only organization owners can create new projects.

To create a project from the **Asset Manager** menu, complete these steps:

1. In Unity Dashboard, go to **Asset Manager** >
   **Manage projects**.
2. Select **Create project**.
3. Enter a name for the new project. The name must be unique within the organization.
4. To confirm the operation, select **Create project**.

To create a project from the **Administration** menu, complete these steps:

1. In Unity Dashboard, go to **Administration** > **Projects**.
2. Select **New**.
3. Enter a name for the new project. The name must be unique within the organization.
4. To confirm the operation, select **Create**.
