# Identify the organization ID

> Identify the ID of a Unity organization

You need the ID of a Unity organization for certain tasks, for example, when using a package that uses the CLI or API method.

To identify the ID of an organization in Unity Dashboard, complete these steps:

1. Go to **Account**, and then select **Manage organization**.
2. Go to **Administration**, and then, in the **Organization** section, select **Settings**.
3. Locate the **Organization ID** field and select **Copy to clipboard** next to the field.

The organization ID is copied to your clipboard. You can paste this ID where you need to use it.
