# Manage access to your project

> User management inside the Asset Manager works as an extension of Unity Cloud projects. This means that once a project is created inside the Asset Manager it is administered the same way any other Unity Cloud project would be.

In a Unity Cloud project you are given one of the following user types:

* `Owner`
* `Manager`
* `User`

If the project is enabled in the Asset Manager then you need to be given a project role that is specific to the Asset Manager to be able to view and access the project.

> **Important:**
>
> Any project user with an `Owner` or a `Manager` user type is assigned an `Asset Manager Project Contributor` role by default.

## Restrict the visibility of a project

To protect intellectual property or to simplify the organization's project list, restrict the [visibility of some projects](/cloud/projects.md.md#visibility-of-projects) to organization owners, organization managers, and project members.

## Add users to a Project

1. In the [Unity Dashboard](https://cloud.unity.com), select **Home** > **Projects**.
2. Select the project you wish to add users to.
3. In the primary navigation menu, select **Development** > **Members**.
4. Select **Add members**.
5. In the **Users and emails** field, enter the user email address.

> **Note:**
>
> You can enter up to five email addresses.

1. In the **User type** drop-down list, select a user type.
2. Select **Add to project**.

### Project roles

As a project `Owner` or `Manager`, you can assign users one of the following roles in your project:

| Activity                                      | Owner/Manager | Contributor | Consumer | Viewer |
| --------------------------------------------- | ------------- | ----------- | -------- | ------ |
| Manage users                                  | Yes           | No          | No       | No     |
| Manage collections and upload and edit assets | Yes | Yes | No | No |
| Download assets                               | Yes           | Yes         | Yes      | No     |
| Browse assets                                 | Yes           | Yes         | Yes      | Yes    |
