# Configure Unity AI settings

> Manage AI features for all projects in your Unity organization from the Unity Dashboard.

Unity AI provides tools that accelerate game development through AI-assisted workflows in the Unity Editor. Use these tools to prototype ideas faster, boost creative output, and reduce time spent on repetitive tasks.

Unity organization owners and managers can use the Unity AI **Settings** page to enable or disable access to artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as Assistant and Generators, for all users and projects. These settings govern how your team interacts with AI-powered asset generation, coding assistance, and model training features.

## Prerequisites

Make sure you meet the following requirements before you configure Unity AI settings in the Unity Dashboard:

* You must be an organization owner or manager. For more information on different user types, refer to [User types, roles and permissions](/cloud/organizations/roles-and-permissions.md).
* You must have a [Unity Dashboard](https://cloud.unity.com/home/ai/settings) account.

## Update AI settings in the Unity Dashboard

To enable or disable Unity AI features for your organization, follow these steps:

1. In the [Unity Dashboard](https://cloud.unity.com), go to **Products**.

2. Select **Tools** > **Unity AI Assistant**.

3. Select **Settings**.

4. Configure the settings to enable or disable Assistant and Generators. For more information, refer to [AI settings reference](/ai/unity-dashboard/ai-settings-reference.md).

Changes are saved automatically. The updated settings apply immediately across all projects in the organization.

   > **Note:**
   >
   > By default, **Enable Assistant** and **Enable Generators** are turned on, while **Improve Unity AI models** is turned off.

5. If Unity Editor is already open, you might need to restart it or trigger a domain reload (for example, enter Play mode) to view the changes in the Editor.
